Fantoche Animation Film Festival will be held 02 to 07 Sep 2025 in Baden, Switzerland. Fantoche Animation Film Festival is one of the world’s leading festivals for animated films and is the largest international cartoon festival in Switzerland. The colourful and diverse world of animation attracts tens of thousands of fans to Baden each year. Over six days, those in the know, cinephiles, families and first-timers all get swept up in the filmmakers’ dazzling fantasy worlds of animated imagery. The wide-ranging festival programme presents international hits and hidden gems from the booming animation industry. Fantoche is both a festival for the general public and a meeting place for the film and creative industries in equal measure. It comprises an international and a national short film competition, a carefully chosen selection of animated feature films, its own programme slots for innovative computer games, themes with in-depth insights into the medium of animation and games, a multifaceted programme for children and young people, school classes and student groups as well as a diverse offering of lectures, panel discussions, presentations and exhibitions.
Film submission will be open by 1 March 2025, the link to the entry form will then be activated and found here. Fantoche looks forward to all your new films in any possible animation technique! If your film has been completed after 31 March 2025 and lasts no longer than 40 minutes, please register as soon as the entry form is active. Submission deadline will be 31 May 2025, the submission is free. You can submit your film digitally.
